Victory on the Bramble Front

The Parish Council is delighted to report that our valiant Open Spaces team has completed their epic quest: clearing the final stretch of the SSSI footpath from Deringwood Drive to the field.

It’s been no stroll in the park—more like a battle through the botanical badlands. Overgrowth had turned the path into a jungle worthy of machetes and mosquito nets. But after much sweat, snipping, and nettle-dodging, the route is now gloriously walkable.

So lace up your boots, grab the dog, and enjoy a ramble without fear of ambush from brambles, nettles, or rogue tree limbs. Nature’s still wild—but now it’s politely trimmed.
