Tree works - Spot Lane Nature Reserve

An update from Maidstone Borough Council.

Following a survey at Spot Lane Local Nature Reserve a number of trees have been highlighted as needing work to maintain a balance for public safety and good forestry management – as such MBC’s contractor with be on site at various times over the forthcoming months to carry out the work.

All work will comply with obligations under the Wildlife and Countryside Act – work will include felling, coppicing, crown lifting/reduction etc.

Some work may be delayed due to TPO regulations and extra time required for the Landscape Officer to assess any work.
