DPC Garden Competition

The winners of DPCs Garden Competition have been notified and have received their prizes of £50 each, along with certificates.

Congratulations to the residents of 20 Horton Downs for the Most Colourful Garden and 11 Ravens Dane Close for the Best Wildlife Garden.

Many thanks to Borough Councillor Valerie Springett for judging the competition.

In addition to the winning gardens, Cllr Springett recommended the following as Highly Commended

• Most Colourful Garden : 51 and 69 Grampian Way.
• Best for Wildlife Garden: 5 and 17 Grampian Way, 2 Foxden Drive

Cllr Springett commented: ‘I did bear in mind the fact that the weather has badly affected garden plants and that some plants have already flowered, and so I bore this in mind and assessed what the colour would have been.

I think all entries deserve to be congratulated for their efforts in a challenging year.’
