Council Statement Regarding Recent Facebook Post
The Parish Council is aware of a post circulating on a separate Facebook page concerning a newsletter allegedly linked to the upcoming by-election on 8th May.
We wish to clarify that this information is incorrect. The newsletter referenced by the post pertained to a previous council vacancy which was uncontested. As a result, no by-election took place at that time, and no newsletter was required or issued in that context. Unfortunately, the post appears to have referred to an incorrect set of council minutes, which has contributed to the confusion.
To be clear: the Parish Council has not discussed or approved the production of a newsletter in relation to the forthcoming by-election on 8th May.
It is important to note that the content on the official Parish Council website is protected by copyright. This is in place to prevent the misuse or misrepresentation of official materials, including minutes of meetings, particularly where such use could mislead the public.
For accurate and up-to-date information, we encourage residents to contact the Parish Clerk directly. We are committed to transparency and are happy to provide clarification where needed.
