A Delightful Surprise at Otham Church

Friday morning’s coffee gathering at Otham Church turned into a memorable occasion with the unexpected arrival of Helen Whately MP. Her surprise visit was warmly welcomed by the residents of Downswood and Otham, who enjoyed engaging with her in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere over coffee and homemade cake.

Helen took the time to listen attentively to local concerns, discussing community matters with genuine interest and warmth. In addition to current issues, she also shared thoughtful conversations with several residents about life in the aftermath of the Second World War—a subject she holds a deep personal interest in.
