Electoral arrangements: Bearsted and Downswood

Residents may recall that the Borough’s proposal to change the parish electoral arrangements was discussed by Downswood Parish Council last year. Two Parish Councillors attended a workshop that had been organised by MBC and a link to the proposal was shared on the parish website.

Whilst currently awaiting an update from MBC, we can advise that the Order is displayed on the Government website - this came into force on the day after the Order was made on 14 June 2023 - and the electoral ward for the parish is now Bearsted and Downswood.
